Will installing outdoor lighting significantly increase my hydro bill?

No! At Sprinkler Kings, we exclusively install modern, low-voltage LED lighting systems. LED fixtures use up to 80% less energy than traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs while providing a cleaner, more beautiful light. Most of our residential LED systems cost less than a few dollars a month to run.

Can landscape lighting survive harsh Ontario winters?

Yes, but only if you use professional-grade fixtures. Big-box store plastic or cheap aluminum lights often crack, fade, or fail during our freezing Canadian winters. We install premium, heavy-duty brass, copper, and commercial-grade aluminum fixtures that are completely weatherproof and designed to withstand ice, snow, and extreme temperature fluctuations for decades.

Will installing the wiring tear up my lawn or garden?

Not at all. Because we install low-voltage systems, the wiring only needs to be buried a few inches below the surface, unlike high-voltage electrical lines that require deep trenching. Our team carefully conceals the wiring under mulch, along garden beds, and uses specialized tools to make tiny, invisible slits in the grass, leaving your property looking perfectly untouched.

Do I have to turn my landscape lights on and off manually every night?

No, your system will be completely automated. We install advanced transformers equipped with astronomical timers or photocells. This means your lights will automatically turn on precisely at sunset and turn off at sunrise (or at a specific time you choose), adjusting automatically throughout the year as the days get longer or shorter. We also offer smart systems you can control right from your phone!
